Hello, I'm Kaisa,

the creator of POWERFUL SEXUAL AWARE® and a pioneer in modern sexuality education for women. It's cool to say you're a pioneer, but the road to being one isn't always the easiest—especially when it comes to sexuality.

During my sexuality educator studies, I discovered my passion for women's empowerment. I was shocked to find out, that there was some truly essential information on sexuality that no one taught us anywhere, unless you pursued professional sexology. I also discovered that there was a lot of misinformation on female sexuality out there. It felt as though the true nature of women and their sexuality was hidden from us on purpose.

In addition to the lack of information on female sexuality, I was struck by how our sex education completely overlooked the societal and cultural forces that constrain women, particularly in relation to their sexuality. As I dove deeper to the history of sexuality, power, men and women, I discovered that our entire understanding of women's sexuality is built on a patriarchal narrative—and that narrative isn't based on facts, it's based on fear of those who used to be in power.

“Any time there is a re-centering of power, those who previously held the most power are often resistant to change.”  -Justin Lehmiller

During my passionate discovery of the hidden truths of female sexuality I felt like I had found my calling. Suddenly, everything clicked—the competition and judgment between women, the jealousy in romantic relationships, the erotic anxiety and slutshaming, the shame related to our bodies, the struggles with boundaries, the desire to look sexy but not too sexy, the inability to enjoy sex and orgasms, the disconnection from our womanhood and the deep-rooted feeling of victimhood. I began to see patterns everywhere, particularly in how women were conditioned to suppress their sexual identity and power over centuries.

I instinctively knew that sex ed should have been the time and place to address this. The sex ed we receive in school is close to non-existent, which is why we don't know what it is supposed to even give us. The emotional experience of a school sex ed was at best confusion and at worst shame and fear.

Let me tell you a secret (feel free to share it with everyone you know):

Sex ed is supposed to make you feel empowered, secure, inspired, confident and excited about exploring your own sexuality.

It should give you the access to your biggest energy source and make you want to embrace your sexuality in your everyday life.

And even more when comes to women: Sex ed should make us feel absolutely ecstatic about the fact that we get to experince life in these unbelievable female bodies, experiencing pleasure in a way only females can, wrapping the world around our finger by using our authentic erotic expression and finally discovering and using the power that has always belonged to us. (By the way, a mankind has gone above and beyond in the history trying to keep women disconnected from their sexuality.)

In my passionate discovery of the repressed female sexuality, I birthed an online program called POWERFUL SEXUAL AWARE (PSA), which ultimately became my diploma work upon graduation.

It literally felt like giving birth.

The creation was something I couldn't stop, the vision and the execution kept flowing through me, and I was in a state of creative frenzy for weeks and months.

PSA is a sexuality education program for adult women consisting everything we should have learned at school, but never did. It is my own eclectic mix of sexology, cultural and historical insights, coahing and female empowerment brought to you in the most concise packaging. In PSA, you will learn absolutely everything a woman needs to feel empowered in her sexuality.

The program will make you AWARE of all the subtle and not subtle ways the world has made you give up your power, finally claim your SEXUAL self & feel liberated expressing it and become POWERFUL by harnessing the power of female sexuality in your everyday life. I named the program to describe a woman who is a product of a proper sex education.

I launched POWERFUL SEXUAL AWARE for the first time in Finland in 2019 and it became a national sensation. It was something so needed without anyone knowing they needed it. Before I knew it, the program was filling up with enrollments and I found myself giving interviews to newspapers, women's magazines, news tabloids, radio stations and podcasts. I made TV appearances and even had my own show under planning which unfortunately fell through because 'sexuality is too risky of a theme' according to the channel.

Then there was the witch hunt.

(Stories like these usually have that to keep things dynamic!) An undercover journalist infiltrated into PSA and wrote an article on the biggest newspaper in Finland trying to discard my work and question whether women are sovereign enough to be attending these type of courses. As if women were too fragile to hear about the power of their sexuality and belong to a community where sex was an open topic. (This is the part where pioneering is not always the easiest thing to do).

Funny enough, the article came out rather ironic, confirming exactly the narrative I was advocating to reframe. The narrative being: women aren't equipped to empower themselves and it might be even dangerous for them to try and do so. False. Women need to be speak to as sovereign and powerful individuals. The way we speak about women, handle women, believe in women and trust women in their power shapes the narrative. Women have the right to hear that making a change in their lives is possible—and no one can take that possibility away from them.

Here comes the plot twist:

The article gained a lot of attention, but the reaction was rather surprising. There soon was an entire wave of people and media advocating for women's empowerment and defending my work. It was one of the most rewarding moments of my career; sometimes all it takes is a backlash in freedom, progression and women's empowerment for people to stand up and defend it.

PSA was the missing puzzle piece in my own journey to empowerment, and it has filled the same crucial gap for thousands of women. After five years of guiding women in Finnish, I'm overwhelmed with excitement to share this transformative journey on an international scale!

Welcome onboard, sister! I hope you feel inspired and ignited exploring the world of PSA. I am truly honored that you are here and excited to support you on this transformative journey. If there is anything you want to share with me or ask me, feel free to contact me directly.

Immensely yours,
